In South Carolina, nobody can access who has been issue a carry permit save for law enforcement or via a court order. That being said, I agree with Governor Sanford. If you can legally possess a firearm, then you shouldn’t have to apply for a special permit to carry one.

And before people get apoplectic, if you’ve ever visited the state of Vermont, chances are you’ve come into contact with people packing heat because they have no such requirements there.
