The Idiot Gun Guys

Of course, I’m not talking about the real gun guys, but the clowns that run this site, and do so under the auspices of being pro-gun when in reality, it appears to be a front for the Violence Policy Center or any other anti-gun group. They post anonymously and they have their domain information in ‘private’ mode and why not? Anybody spouting the drivel isn’t going to want to be challenged openly.

This entry here had me laughing because their crystal ball should be returned. Prior to 2005 in Florida, if residents were outside of their home, they had to retreat before using deadly force. So basically, if some guy pulled a knife on you, if you ran away first and the perp chased you down, then you could pull your gun and defend yourself. The law was changed so that if such a threat were made, a person wouldn’t be required to retreat. The typical caterwauling ensued along with all of the dire predictions about “the wild west” and how people were going to get into shoot-outs just because people looked at each other the wrong way. This is what the ‘gun guys’ posted in reference to that:

You’ll have to be careful heading down to Florida nowadays. After the “deadly force” bill passed there last year, it’s now legal for anyone to shoot you first if they at all feel threatened. Look at someone the wrong way? Take some lead home with you from your vacation!

Total twits.

UPDATE: Say Uncle has the lowdown on who the ‘gun guys’ really are.

  1. Amazingly, the predictions of blood running in the streets and wild west shootouts never materialized. I think that says it all right there about their integrity and credibility. But then again I’m biased I guess.
