More Of The Same

Another story about Chicago and the anti-gun forces are happy to keep kids out of school in order to advance their political agenda:

“This doesn’t happen in other countries,” Arne Duncan said. “We just value our right to bear arms more than we value our children, and our priorities are fundamentally backwards.”

So it’s another example of the “It’s for the children!” argument. Of course, the notion that “this doesn’t happen in other countries” is laughable. Kids in other countries are being trained as young as 11 to take part in the jihad against the west and teens routinely make up the bulk of the death squads you see in various African nations. Kids there learn to shoot rifles before they learn to read.

The story goes through a whole bunch of other nonsense before it gets to the following:

Chicago bans handgun ownership and sales

So here we have a rally calling for more gun control and yet Chicago, like Washington DC has the strictest gun control measures in the country. If gun control were the solution, wouldn’t Chicago and DC by now be the safest cities in the United States to live in?
